Red Key Collection (“RKC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides vacation rental, property management, and hotel management services in Curaçao, supported by teams in Curaçao and New Jersey. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information through redkeycollection.com, book.redkeycollection.com, and related reservations, enquiries, communications, and services. The RKC legal entity responsible for your information is Red Key Collection, 707 White Horse Pike, Suite B2, Absecon, NJ 08201, United States. Property owners, booking channels, payment providers, and other businesses may also process information under their own privacy policies.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we collect contact information such as your name, email address, telephone number, and address; reservation details such as travel dates, property selection, guest numbers, preferences, and booking history; payment and transaction information; and messages, enquiries, reviews, or documents you provide. Where needed for a stay or required by law, we may request guest registration or identity information. Please do not send payment card details or unnecessary sensitive information by ordinary email or an enquiry form.

We also receive information from booking channels, property owners, service providers, and the person arranging a reservation on your behalf. If you provide information about another guest, please make sure you are authorized to do so and share this policy with them.

Our websites and service providers may automatically collect IP addresses, device and browser details, approximate location, referral sources, pages viewed, search activity, and interactions with our website or advertisements. These details can be linked to other information and are treated as personal information where applicable.

How and why we use information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries; prepare proposals; arrange and manage reservations, payments, cancellations, and refunds; communicate about stays; provide guest and property services; manage business relationships; maintain records; protect our systems and prevent fraud; resolve disputes; and meet legal obligations.

We also use website activity to understand performance and improve our services, and use marketing information to send offers or measure advertising, subject to applicable choices and legal requirements. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on consent, steps necessary to enter into or perform an agreement, legal obligations, or legitimate interests such as running and securing our business, balanced against your rights. We request consent where required. Reading this policy or visiting a website does not itself provide consent to every form of processing.

Who receives information

We disclose relevant information to staff and authorized affiliated teams supporting RKC; owners or operators of the property involved in your reservation; and service providers supporting reservations, payments, hosting, security, communications, housekeeping, maintenance, accounting, and customer service. We share information according to the purpose of the service and the recipient’s role.

Services used in connection with our websites include Hostaway for booking and reservation management, Google services for analytics, advertising, and spam protection, Calendly for appointment scheduling, and Brevo for email communications. Availability and configuration may differ between websites. Third-party booking channels, rewards programs, and payment services may collect information directly under their own policies.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to address fraud or legal claims, or in connection with a business transfer, subject to applicable protections.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Cookies and similar technologies support website functions, availability searches, security, preferences, analytics, and advertising. Advertising tools may allow providers to recognize your browser across websites and measure or personalize advertisements. Under some U.S. state laws, certain advertising disclosures may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising, even without a monetary payment.

You can manage cookies through your browser and through cookie controls where provided. Blocking cookies may affect some features. You can also review advertising preferences through the relevant provider, including Google’s My Ad Center. Contact us to request an opt-out of applicable advertising disclosures. Where law requires prior consent or recognition of an opt-out preference signal, those requirements apply. Browser “Do Not Track” settings may not produce the same result as legally recognized opt-out signals.

Marketing choices

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in the email or by contacting us. An unsubscribe request does not prevent necessary communications about a reservation, payment, enquiry, or other service you requested. Where consent is required for marketing, we obtain it before sending those communications. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

International processing

RKC operates with teams in Curaçao and the United States. Our service providers may process information in these or other countries. Privacy laws may differ between countries. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use the required safeguards or another permitted transfer basis.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on the information and its purpose. Reservation, transaction, and business records may be retained to meet tax, accounting, contractual, and legal requirements. Enquiry records are retained as needed to respond and manage the relationship. Marketing information is retained for the relevant communications and preferences, and suppression records may be kept to honor an unsubscribe request. Website and security records are retained according to their operational purpose. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed, subject to legal holds, required retention, and backup cycles.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If you suspect misuse of information associated with an RKC reservation or account, please contact us.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may request information about our processing, access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion or restriction where permitted, or object to certain uses, including direct marketing. Curaçao’s Landsverordening bescherming persoonsgegevens provides protections relating to personal information, including access, correction, and objection rights subject to its conditions.

Where applicable U.S. state privacy laws cover our processing, residents may also have rights to obtain a portable copy, opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and appeal a denied request. These rights are subject to statutory scope, exceptions, and verification requirements. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Send requests to nlacle@redkeycollection.com with the subject “Privacy Request,” identifying the request and the relevant booking or relationship. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify identity or an authorized representative’s authority. Please do not email a copy of an identity document unless we provide an appropriate method. We respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any applicable limitation or denial. You may also contact a competent authority or use other remedies available under applicable law.

Children

Our websites and booking services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. A parent or guardian may provide information about accompanying children when needed to arrange a stay. If you believe a child has independently provided personal information through our websites, contact us so we can review and address it.

Other websites and policy changes

Links and embedded tools may take you to services operated by other businesses. Review their privacy policies when using those services. We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable requirements. The date above identifies the latest version. Where required, we provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes.
