Uncle Bob’s Reef

Exceptional and perfect ! Positive: This house is exceptional from all points of view! The comfort, the location, the position in the complex and in the village... I was travelling by bus, 10mins easy walk with rolling case to the complex. Code to enter the gate, then to the house. I'd seen the photos but it still had that WOW effect! This house is at the sea front and closest to the steps to the sea, slightly away from the swimming pool which meant it was calm. The house is decorated with taste and has everything you need in the kitchen. There's a downstairs shower which was great to rinse off the sand and bathers arriving back from the beach. Upstairs the bedroom stayed cool and had a shower room, plenty of space in the closet and a lovely breezy sunny balcony. Didn't try the air con or TV, the mosquito door on the balcony permitted me to sleep with a constant breeze. Bed very comfortable! I suggest taking an eye mask to sleep in, as I didn't close the curtains. Plenty of towels for the beach and for bathroom, and full snorkelling equipment. I spent most of my time at the house on the terrace, its the one that gets the most sun at 7am, you can sit there for hours, (even if you want to be in the shade...) evenings you are back here for the sunset! My hostess was exceptional, always available for any questions, and she was very patient when I had a problem with my credit card. She also was very flexible with my bus times, as they only go every 2hours. From the house you have a 5min walk to the Playa Forti and the restaurant Forti (where I ate most days, delicious) 10 mins to the beach with the turtles (which is at the bus stop) and 15mins further along there is Kalki Beach, where there is also a shop that sells food and basic products. Everything here was perfect and I can't recommend it more highly. Negative: The person who gave the ridiculous Passable 5/10 review must have gone to the wrong place, as no way is Uncle Bobs Reef less than fabulous.

Lee and Louis MO Positive: Beautiful ocean sunset view from the unit. Well equipped kitchen and enough towels. Air conditioning was good but good cross breezes cut the need to use the AC. Negative: Nothing much. Minor issues with drainage in bathroom sink.
